The first thing this homeowner sees when stepping out their front door is an amazing elliptical design on their front stoop constructed of flagstone and brick.  This project was a post-construction site with no character and a few "contractor" planted trees.  Starting at the driveway, Surrounds designed a walkway using gentle curves, columns, and steps that meanders up to the front door.  The walkway, stairs, elliptical, and stoop are all constructed of flagstone and brick (which matches the house).  The front landscape is a lovely mix of deciduous and evergreen materials with eye-catching swaths of color.

Walk to the back and you will wonder how Surrounds designed and built everything in such a small narrow space.  As you enter the back yard, you first notice the stone wall with a gentle curve planted with mondo grasses and turf.  The flagstone path leads to the dining patio which is equipped with a built-in grilling area.  Three steps down and you are in the living area featuring a stone fireplace with hearth.  This is the perfect place to entertain or just relax even on a chilly evening.  The fireplace backs up to an existing tree line giving an air of seclusion.  Accent lighting throughout the property is the finishing touch giving character to the gentle curves of this design.
