Installation in phases provides many of our clients the opportunity for Surrounds to re-create their entire property.  That is exactly what we were asked to do by this homeowner.  They had already contracted for the pool and wooden deck.  A very steep slope lay in between these two elements and the homeowner hired Surrounds to create a Master Plan that would tie the two together.

Phase I saw Surrounds tucking boulders weighing 2,000 to 6,000 pounds and plantings into the slope creating a naturalistic retention of the steep gradient.  We were able to display an interesting array of perennials, grasses and large evergreen trees which provided lots of textures and a very soothing backdrop

to the new pool area.   The pool deck was formed using concrete pavers that mimic flagstone.  This allowed for the visual blending of the flagstone slab steps, pathways, and boulders.

Phase 2 brought us to the front of the house where the homeowners were looking for more "curb appeal".  Artistically placing boulders and a stone retaining wall  created room for a parking area and new paver walkway.  The walkway into the house  turned into a nature trail of such with a beautiful variety of natural plantings, lighting, and a bench.

We created a unified landscape for the homeowner by using similar elements in the front and back phases.
