This project called for an inviting and spacious pool area with a waterfall and pool cabana that would creatively connect with the exiting landscaping.  The biggest challenge Surrounds faced was the pool area which had to be worked into a steep slope right off the driveway and was restricted by a floodplain easement at the bottom of the slope.

Since the original landscape was created by the same Landscape Architect eight years previously, we began the process of tying in the old with the new.  A segmental

stone retaining wall was constructed to create a level area for the pool.  Huge boulders were installed between the pool area and the driveway to hold the soil while lush plantings added beauty and privacy.  The pool area was artistically connected to the existing landscape using a boulder staircase.  Surrounds constructed the pool cabana with the same theme as the existing deck/arbor and used it to frame the shallow end of the pool.  The cabana comfortably sits below the 7' slope from the driveway providing an inviting place to sit and enjoy the beauty of nature by the pool.
